{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,22]],"date-time":"2025-02-22T05:27:55Z","timestamp":1740202075466,"version":"3.37.3"},"reference-count":0,"publisher":"IOS Press","content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":[],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2014]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>A case study in a social multi-criteria evaluation framework for selecting a windfarm location in the regions of Urgell and La Conca de Barber&amp;agrave; in Catalonia is presented. Two different MCDM approaches are introduced and compared through their application to the mentioned case. On the one hand, a Qualitative TOPSIS methodology able to address uncertainty and, able to deal with different levels of precision is considered. On the other hand, we consider the results obtained by a non-compensatory outranking MCDM method. Both approaches are analyzed and their performance in the selection of a windfarm location is compared.
