The basis for the work plan has been to develop an interactive technical solution supporting three different groups of stroke patients: (1) patients with stroke discharged from hospital with support from neuro team; (2) patients with stroke whose support from neuro team will be phased out and (3) patients living with impaired motor functions long-term. The technology has been developed in close collaboration with end-users using a method earlier evaluated and described [12]. This paper describes the main functions of the developed technology. Further, results from early user-tests with end-users, performed to identify needs for improvements to be carried out during further technical development. The developed technology will be tested further in a pilot study of the safety and, usefulness of the technology when applied as a support for motor training in three different phases of the post-stroke rehabilitation process.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/978-1-61499-516-6-145","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,21]],"date-time":"2025-02-21T08:25:19Z","timestamp":1740126319000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Users Perspectives on Interactive Distance Technology Enabling Home-Based Motor Training for Stroke Patients"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"family":"Ehn Maria","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Hansson Pär","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Sjölinder Marie","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Boman Inga-Lill","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Folke Mia","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Sommerfeld Disa","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Borg Jörgen","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Palmcrantz Susanne","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Studies in Health Technology and Informatics","pHealth 2015"],"original-title":[],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,21]],"date-time":"2025-02-21T08:54:08Z","timestamp":1740128048000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/www.medra.org\/servlet\/aliasResolver?alias=iospressISBN&isbn=978-1-61499-515-9&spage=145&doi=10.3233\/978-1-61499-516-6-145"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2015]]},"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/978-1-61499-516-6-145","relation":{},"ISSN":["0926-9630"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0926-9630","type":"print"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2015]]}}}
