To evaluate allergic inflammation of the eyes, a robust and precise image-based method was developed and applied to analyze allergic hyperemia under the conjunctival provocation test (CPT). High-resolution digital photos were taken and analyzed via digital analysis software to obtain and document conjunctival redness.
