Patients will be required to autonomously follow their prescribed treatment. Information technologies applied to health care can provide support for medication adherence, specially in patients with diseases that require poly-pharmacological treatment. These scenarios can benefit from norm-aware electronic distributed systems based on agent technologies that can ensure compliance with the different actors to the expected behaviours and medical policies.
