Firstly, the devices of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is installed on the original road signs, traffic lights and road markings. It can transmit traffic signals, which are consistent with the original encoded information. At the same time, the device is the terminal node of ZigBee network. Then, routers and coordinator nodes are installed in the necessary place. At last, the network of road condition information is formed in the way of ad-hoc network. When the cars equipped with traffic signal recognition system are driving in this network, they can receive encoded information of traffic signal and converts the received traffic signal encoded information into a voice signal, or converts it into a vehicle control signal to control the vehicle. The system has some good points, with a high recognition rate, long recognition distance, real-time, secure, reliable, easy to implement and so on.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/978-1-61499-785-6-388","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,21]],"date-time":"2025-02-21T10:27:24Z","timestamp":1740133644000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["The Systematic Design of Road Traffic Signal Recognition Based on the Integration of ZigBee with Active FRID"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"family":"Liang Ziyi","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Xu Ping","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Applications","Information Technology and Intelligent Transportation Systems"],"original-title":[],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,21]],"date-time":"2025-02-21T11:16:49Z","timestamp":1740136609000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/www.medra.org\/servlet\/aliasResolver?alias=iospressISBN&isbn=978-1-61499-784-9&spage=388&doi=10.3233\/978-1-61499-785-6-388"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2017]]},"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/978-1-61499-785-6-388","relation":{},"ISSN":["0922-6389"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0922-6389","type":"print"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2017]]}}}
