This transformation is at the heart of the digitization processes. The true benefits lie in the adoption of this technology throughout the product lifecycle. However, this digital transformation is partial and many of the stages in the product lifecycle are still heavily reliant on traditional drawings. This is due to the involvement of several uncertainties in the process of adoption of model-based definition. In this paper, a framework is proposed for the systematic assessment of the prevailing uncertainties in the adoption of model-based definition and enterprise. The framework proposed in this paper is aimed at identifying, categorizing, prioritizing, and mitigating the uncertainties in this process.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/atde210091","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2021,10,20]],"date-time":"2021-10-20T21:45:18Z","timestamp":1634766318000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":2,"title":["Towards an Uncertainty Management Framework for Model-Based Definition and Enterprise"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"given":"Kamran","family":"Goher","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Manufacturing Department, School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing, Cranfield University, Cranfield, Bedfordshire MK43 0AL, UK"}]},{"given":"Essam","family":"Shehab","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department, School of Engineering and Digital Sciences, Nazarbayev University, Nur-Sultan 010000, Kazakhstan"}]},{"given":"Ahmed","family":"Al-Ashaab","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Manufacturing Department, School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing, Cranfield University, Cranfield, Bedfordshire MK43 0AL, UK"}]},{"given":"Shoaib","family":"Sarfraz","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Manufacturing Department, School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing, Cranfield University, Cranfield, Bedfordshire MK43 0AL, UK"}]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Advances in Transdisciplinary Engineering","Transdisciplinary Engineering for Resilience: Responding to System Disruptions"],"original-title":[],"link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/pdf\/doi\/10.3233\/ATDE210091","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2021,10,25]],"date-time":"2021-10-25T13:38:04Z","timestamp":1635169084000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/doi\/10.3233\/ATDE210091"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2021,10,20]]},"ISBN":["9781643682082","9781643682099"],"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/atde210091","relation":{},"ISSN":["2352-751X","2352-7528"],"issn-type":[{"value":"2352-751X","type":"print"},{"value":"2352-7528","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2021,10,20]]}}}
