To the contrary, it is rather human agents who, in what we call \u2018functional social interactions,\u2019 aim at simulating social automatons. An important aspect of this simulation is the agent\u2019s attempt to suppress every indication of the existence of a difference between what she experiences from the \u201c\u2018I\u2019-perspective\u201d and what is perceived by other agents, the \u201c\u2018me\u2019-perspective\u201d.
