In this new proposed algorithm, the MMA method is switched to the DD algorithm, based on a previously obtained expression for the step-size parameter valid at the convergence state of the blind adaptive equalizer, that depends on the channel power, input signal statistics and on the properties of the chosen algorithm. Simulation results show that improved equalization performance is obtained for the 16 QAM input case compared with the DM-CMA (where CMA is the constant modulus algorithm), DM-MCMA (where MCMA is the modified CMA) and MCMA-MDDMA (where MDDMA is the modified decision directed modulus algorithm).<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/faia210430","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2021,12,29]],"date-time":"2021-12-29T10:30:36Z","timestamp":1640773836000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":1,"title":["A Novel Dual Mode Decision Directed Multimodulus Algorithm (DM-DD-MMA) for Blind Adaptive Equalization"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"given":"Sagi","family":"Tadmor","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Ariel University, Ariel 40700, Israel"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Sapir","family":"Carmi","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Ariel University, Ariel 40700, Israel"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Monika","family":"Pinchas","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Ariel University, Ariel 40700, Israel"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Applications","Proceedings of CECNet 2021"],"original-title":[],"link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/pdf\/doi\/10.3233\/FAIA210430","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2021,12,29]],"date-time":"2021-12-29T10:30:36Z","timestamp":1640773836000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/doi\/10.3233\/FAIA210430"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2021,12,22]]},"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/faia210430","relation":{},"ISSN":["0922-6389","1879-8314"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0922-6389","type":"print"},{"value":"1879-8314","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2021,12,22]]}}}
