The overall emotion and depth information of entire songs may be more suitable for real-life applications in certain scenarios. This study focuses on recognizing the overall emotion and depth of entire songs. First, we constructed a public dataset containing 3839 popular songs in China (PSIC3839) by conducting an online experiment to collect the arousal, valence, and depth annotation of each song. Second, we used handcrafted feature-based method to predict the overall emotion and depth values. Support vector regressions using Mel frequency cepstrum coefficients features as inputs achieve good model performance (arousal: R2 = 0.609; valence: R2 = 0.354; and depth: R2 = 0.465). Finally, the groupwise and personalized results were also investigated by training a unique regressor for each group or individual, which provides a reference for future research.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/faia220004","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2022,3,2]],"date-time":"2022-03-02T13:34:37Z","timestamp":1646228077000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":3,"title":["PSIC3839: Predicting the Overall Emotion and Depth of Entire Songs"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"given":"Liang","family":"Xu","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, Zhejiang University, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Zongyang","family":"Yun","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, Zhejiang University, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Zaoyi","family":"Sun","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"College of education, Zhejiang University of Technology, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Xin","family":"Wen","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, Zhejiang University, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Xianan","family":"Qin","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"College of Textile Science and Engineering, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Xiuying","family":"Qian","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, Zhejiang University, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Applications","Design Studies and Intelligence Engineering"],"original-title":[],"link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/pdf\/doi\/10.3233\/FAIA220004","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2022,3,2]],"date-time":"2022-03-02T13:34:38Z","timestamp":1646228078000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/doi\/10.3233\/FAIA220004"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2022,2,28]]},"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/faia220004","relation":{},"ISSN":["0922-6389","1879-8314"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0922-6389","type":"print"},{"value":"1879-8314","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2022,2,28]]}}}
