Based on a co-creation workflow, epidemiological estimates, and socioeconomic factors, decisions are considered in a multi-stakeholder, multi-criteria context to elicit attitudes, perceptions, and preferences of relevant stakeholder groups. The complete framework has been applied in Botswana, Romania, and Jordan to assess mitigation actions related to the Covid-19 pandemic in order to mobilize better response strategies for other relevant future scenarios, and potentially more serious pandemics and other hazardous events. The framework was recommended as best practice in the EU under the European Open Science Cloud EOSC, Covid-19 Fast Track Funding.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/faia220266","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2022,9,16]],"date-time":"2022-09-16T09:08:12Z","timestamp":1663319292000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":1,"title":["Evidence-Based Methods for the Development of Computationally Supported Epidemic-Combating Policies"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"given":"Mats","family":"Danielson","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Dept. of Computer and Systems Sciences, Stockholm University, PO Box 7003, SE-164 07 Kista, Sweden"},{"name":"International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, IIASA, Schlossplatz 1, AT-2361 Laxenburg, Austria"}]},{"given":"Love","family":"Ekenberg","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, IIASA, Schlossplatz 1, AT-2361 Laxenburg, Austria"},{"name":"Dept. of Computer and Systems Sciences, Stockholm University, PO Box 7003, SE-164 07 Kista, Sweden"}]},{"given":"Nadejda","family":"Komendantova","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, IIASA, Schlossplatz 1, AT-2361 Laxenburg, Austria"}]},{"given":"Adriana","family":"Mihai","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Centre of Excellence for the Study of Cultural Identity, University of Bucharest, Pitar Mo, 7-13, 010451, Bucharest, Romania"}]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Applications","New Trends in Intelligent Software Methodologies, Tools and Techniques"],"original-title":[],"link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/pdf\/doi\/10.3233\/FAIA220266","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2022,9,16]],"date-time":"2022-09-16T09:08:14Z","timestamp":1663319294000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/doi\/10.3233\/FAIA220266"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2022,9,14]]},"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/faia220266","relation":{},"ISSN":["0922-6389","1879-8314"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0922-6389","type":"print"},{"value":"1879-8314","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2022,9,14]]}}}
