Text texts are first parsed using a formal grammar derived from light-weight annotations. An intermediate representation called assembly logic is then used for logical interpretation and supports translations to different back-end logics and visualisations. The approach, while rule-based and explainable, is also robust: it can deliver useful results from day one, but allows subsequent refinements and variations.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/faia220473","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2022,12,9]],"date-time":"2022-12-09T11:51:41Z","timestamp":1670586701000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["An End-to-End Pipeline from Law Text to Logical Formulas"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"given":"Aarne","family":"Ranta","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Chalmers University of Technology"},{"name":"University of Gothenburg"}]},{"given":"Inari","family":"Listenmaa","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Centre for Computational Law, Singapore Management University"}]},{"given":"Jerrold","family":"Soh","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Centre for Computational Law, Singapore Management University"}]},{"given":"Meng Weng","family":"Wong","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Centre for Computational Law, Singapore Management University"}]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Applications","Legal Knowledge and Information Systems"],"original-title":[],"link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/pdf\/doi\/10.3233\/FAIA220473","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2022,12,9]],"date-time":"2022-12-09T11:51:42Z","timestamp":1670586702000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/doi\/10.3233\/FAIA220473"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2022,12,5]]},"ISBN":["9781643683645","9781643683652"],"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/faia220473","relation":{},"ISSN":["0922-6389","1879-8314"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0922-6389","type":"print"},{"value":"1879-8314","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2022,12,5]]}}}
