The development of undergraduate major evaluation in China are divided into four stages: the budding period (1985\u20131998), the rising period (1998\u20132009), and the booming period (2010\u20132022). The forms of evaluation are divided into major accreditation, major ranking and major assessment. Major evaluation mode includes independent evaluation mode, comprehensive evaluation mode and appraisal mode.
