Despite the success of contrastive learning in node classification tasks, applying it directly to link prediction tasks has revealed two major weaknesses, i.e., single positive sample contrasting and random augmentation, resulting in inferior performance. To overcome these issues, we propose a new contrastive learning approach for link prediction, called Structure-aware Contrastive Representation Learning with Self-discriminating Augmentation (SECRET). Our approach includes a novel data augmentation scheme based on the prediction model itself and takes into account both the contrastive objective and the reconstruction loss, which jointly improve the performance of link prediction. Our experiments on 11 benchmark datasets demonstrate that SECRET significantly outperforms the other state-of-the-art baselines.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/faia230596","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2023,9,29]],"date-time":"2023-09-29T09:22:42Z","timestamp":1695979362000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":1,"title":["Enhancing Link Prediction with Self-Discriminating Augmentation for Structure-Aware Contrastive Learning"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"given":"Hao-Wei","family":"Yang","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan"}]},{"given":"Ming-Yi","family":"Chang","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Fu Jen Catholic University, New Taipei City, Taiwan"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-0377-7945","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Chih-Ya","family":"Shen","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan"}]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Applications","ECAI 2023"],"original-title":[],"link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/pdf\/doi\/10.3233\/FAIA230596","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2023,9,29]],"date-time":"2023-09-29T09:22:43Z","timestamp":1695979363000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/doi\/10.3233\/FAIA230596"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2023,9,28]]},"ISBN":["9781643684369","9781643684376"],"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/faia230596","relation":{},"ISSN":["0922-6389","1879-8314"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0922-6389","type":"print"},{"value":"1879-8314","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2023,9,28]]}}}
