Although numerous open-source KWS datasets have been recently released, there is a general lack of realism in benchmarking the false alarm rate (FAR) in real environments. This can produce models that achieve great accuracies but are not able to work on real-world conditions due to a high number of false triggers. In this work, we demonstrate that two recent KWS models report state-of-the-art accuracies on Google Speech Command dataset but suffer from high false alarm rates in presence of noisy environments. To this end, we propose an extensive benchmark dataset comprising various real-world noises and sounds to evaluate specifically the FAR across different acoustic environments.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/faia230695","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2023,10,23]],"date-time":"2023-10-23T08:15:09Z","timestamp":1698048909000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["A Real-World Dataset for Benchmarking False Alarm Rate in Keyword Spotting"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"given":"Sergi","family":"S\u00e1nchez Deutsch","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"i2CAT Foundation"}]},{"given":"Ivan","family":"Huerta Casado","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"i2CAT Foundation"}]},{"given":"Josep","family":"Escrig Escrig","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"i2CAT Foundation"}]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Applications","Artificial Intelligence Research and Development"],"original-title":[],"link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/pdf\/doi\/10.3233\/FAIA230695","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2023,10,23]],"date-time":"2023-10-23T08:15:11Z","timestamp":1698048911000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/doi\/10.3233\/FAIA230695"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2023,10,19]]},"ISBN":["9781643684482","9781643684499"],"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/faia230695","relation":{},"ISSN":["0922-6389","1879-8314"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0922-6389","type":"print"},{"value":"1879-8314","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2023,10,19]]}}}
