This study aimed to analyze the professional attitude and study preparation of freshmen with regard to the current situation of professional commitment to promote their adaptation to college study and career planning. Especially in local colleges and universities, freshmen show more doubts, confusion, anxiety, and pessimism about the major they will learn. The findings of this study revealed that the current situation of professional commitment of freshmen in local colleges was not optimistic, and the major type, professional intention, professional vision, and professional effectiveness greatly impacted the level of professional commitment of freshmen.
