This paper analyzes the necessity of identity authentication of the Intelligent Electrical Terminal with the northern Master Station, the southern end terminal, the same level terminal and other extensive modules in the Intelligent Electrical Terminal System. The paper focuses on the identity authentication method between the Intelligent Electrical Terminal and the Master Station. The session keys are generated while the identity authentication is completed through session negotiation. The session keys are used for cryptography operation for transmission data between the Intelligent Electrical Terminal and the Master station. The two-layer key system is devised and the session keys\u2019 duration can be controlled, the identity authentication must be re-done if duration expired.
