In the design of cellular network, improving the quality of service (QoS) for cell-edge users is one of the most urgent requirements. In this paper we consider a dual-hop cellular network where a cell-center user serves as relay for a cell-edge user, so that the desired signal of the cell-edge user can be enhanced. The outage probability (OP) of this dual-hop cellular link is derived in presence of the co-channel interference from an underlaid vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) link. Meanwhile, the OP of the V2V link is also derived considering the interference from the cellular relay node. We further make analysis to the outage performance of the two links in case that the voltage amplification gain of the relay node approaches infinity. Finally, simulation results verify the correctness of our derivations, and it is shown that the voltage amplification gain should be kept in medium regime to maintain the trade-off of the QoS between the cell-edge user and the V2V receiver.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/faia231262","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2024,1,12]],"date-time":"2024-01-12T12:57:24Z","timestamp":1705064244000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Outage Performance of Dual-Hop Cellular Network with Underlaid V2V Communications"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"given":"Momiao","family":"Zhou","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230009, China"}]},{"given":"Fan","family":"Wu","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230009, China"}]},{"given":"Yimeng","family":"Li","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230009, China"}]},{"given":"Yanshi","family":"Sun","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230009, China"}]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Applications","Electronics, Communications and Networks"],"original-title":[],"link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/pdf\/doi\/10.3233\/FAIA231262","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2024,1,12]],"date-time":"2024-01-12T12:57:26Z","timestamp":1705064246000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/doi\/10.3233\/FAIA231262"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2024,1,12]]},"ISBN":["9781643684802","9781643684819"],"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/faia231262","relation":{},"ISSN":["0922-6389","1879-8314"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0922-6389","type":"print"},{"value":"1879-8314","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2024,1,12]]}}}
