Medication errors, particularly in identifying pills and tablets, present serious challenges in healthcare due to visual similarities and environmental factors. We propose the use of the GS, which allows flexible parameter tuning, to enhance detection accuracy. Various configurations of the GS are evaluated against the widely-used SiLU and standard sigmoid functions. Our experiments reveal that optimal tuning of GS parameters, specifically with a = 1.50 and b = 1.50, improves model performance in terms of mean Average Precision (mAP) and overall classification accuracy.
