The algebra, called McCarthy algebra, is a generalization of a Boolean algebra. It is defined extensionally, but a set of sound equality axioms is also given. From these axioms, various non-classical properties of the elements of such algebras are deduced. A representation theorem for two classes of McCarthy algebras is presented.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/fi-1996-26205","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2019,12,2]],"date-time":"2019-12-02T20:49:59Z","timestamp":1575319799000},"page":"167-203","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":7,"title":["McCARTHY ALGEBRAS: A MODEL OF McCARTHY'S LOGICAL CALCULUS"],"prefix":"10.1177","volume":"26","author":[{"given":"Beata","family":"Konikowska","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute of Computer Science, Polish Academy of Sciences, Ordona 21, 01-237 Warsaw, Poland.
