Many approaches for induction of decision trees often\n\t\t\t deal with the continuous data and missing values in information systems.\n\t\t\t However, they do not perform well in real situations. This paper presents a new\n\t\t\t algorithm, decision tree construction based on the Cloud transform and Rough\n\t\t\t set theory under the characteristic relation (CR), for mining classification\n\t\t\t knowledge from a given data set. The continuous data is transformed into\n\t\t\t discrete qualitative concepts via the cloud transformation and then the\n\t\t\t attribute with the smallest weighted mean roughness under the characteristic\n\t\t\t relation is selected as the current splitting node.
