To know and solve these discrepancies timely, Monte Carlo method (MCM) is combined with Building Information Modeling (BIM) to establish a MCM-and-BIM-based construction schedule early warning model (MCM-BIM-CSEWM). Then, this paper develops a system prototype of MCM-BIM-CSEWM and explains its specific work processes through a large practical office building construction project. The results show that MCM-BIM-CSEWM can not only address the logical relationship between construction activities but also visually implement early warning according to construction-duration probability rather than construction duration in comparison with the traditional early warning models or
