First, a mathematical model of a vehicle suspension system is established, taking the road excitation into account. Then, a fuzzy inference unit is constructed by using a fuzzy neural network algorithm, which is able to regulate the universe of input\/output variables for a fuzzy logic controller in real-time. It can also avoid the problem of excessive reliance on expert experience in selecting the contracting-expanding factors.
