We calculated the maximum pollutant concentration in an airport by constructing a pollutant evaluation model, established the relationship between the pollutant concentration and the sorties of aircraft taking off and landing, and provided a method of determining the AEC. Using Shanghai Pudong International Airport as an example, we evaluated AEC according to the proposed evaluation method and process.
