A new nonlinear control protocol, which includes discontinuous factors, is designed to realize the global leader-following consensus goal. Under fractional Filippov differential inclusion framework, by applying fractional Lyapunov functional approach and Clarke\u2019s non-smooth analysis technique, the sufficient conditions with respect to the global consensus in finite time is achieved. In addition, the upper bound of the setting time is explicitly evaluated for the global leader-following consensus in finite time. Finally, two examples are performed to verify the feasibility of the proposed control protocol and the validity of the theoretical
