In this paper, the mathematical model of the constrained shortest path problem with three objectives of cost, time and risk is formulated, where the constraint is on the path length. The aim is to find the most desirable path to move commodities from origin to destination based on three factors of cost, time, and risk which the length of path does not exceed a predetermined value. The approach proposed for solving the problem under investigation is to use fuzzy inference system which finds optimal solution in comparison to linear programming and genetic algorithm approaches in less time. The proposed algorithm is implemented on a network of 27 nodes and 52 arcs. The implementation results of the proposed algorithm show that it is capable of finding the optimal solution.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/jifs-191413","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2020,2,28]],"date-time":"2020-02-28T11:16:53Z","timestamp":1582888613000},"page":"4711-4720","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1177\/sage-journals-update-policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":29,"title":["The fuzzy inference approach to solve multi-objective constrained shortest path problem"],"prefix":"10.1177","volume":"38","author":[{"given":"Ali","family":"Abbaszadeh Sori","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Computer Engineering, Babol Branch, Islamic Azad University, Babol, Iran"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Ali","family":"Ebrahimnejad","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematics, Qaemshahr Branch, Islamic Azad University, Qaemshahr, Iran"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Homayun","family":"Motameni","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Computer Engineering, Sari Branch, Islamic Azad University, Sari, Iran"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"179","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2020,2,28]]},"reference":[{"key":"e_1_3_2_2_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1109\/TITS.2018.2867177"},{"key":"e_1_3_2_3_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.ipl.2007.08.013"},{"key":"e_1_3_2_4_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.dam.2018.03.030"},{"key":"e_1_3_2_5_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.asoc.2011.11.011"},{"key":"e_1_3_2_6_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1504\/IJADS.2015.069610"},{"key":"e_1_3_2_7_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.measurement.2016.06.050"},{"key":"e_1_3_2_8_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.asoc.2009.09.014"},{"key":"e_1_3_2_9_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.cor.2018.11.013"},{"key":"e_1_3_2_10_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.mcm.2011.03.040"},{"key":"e_1_3_2_11_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.3233\/IFS-151845"},{"key":"e_1_3_2_12_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.asoc.2011.08.015"},{"key":"e_1_3_2_13_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.cor.2012.07.008"},{"key":"e_1_3_2_14_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.amc.2011.01.019"},{"key":"e_1_3_2_15_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.ejor.2017.03.031"},{"key":"e_1_3_2_16_2","first-page":"1","article-title":"Weighted Mamdani-type Fuzzy Inference System Based on Relative Ideal Preference System","volume":"5","author":"Mohamad D.","year":"2018","unstructured":"MohamadD. and MukhtarF.L., Weighted Mamdani-type Fuzzy Inference System Based on Relative Ideal Preference System, Journal of Soft Computing and Decision Support Systems 5 (2018), 1\u20137.","journal-title":"Journal of Soft Computing and Decision Support Systems"},{"key":"e_1_3_2_17_2","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","unstructured":"MotameniH. and EbrahimnejadA.
