Since a vast majority of the population exploit social media platforms such as twitter to exchange information, rapid collecting and analyzing social media data to understand personal well-being and subsequently adopting adequate measures could avoid severe socio-economic damage. Sentiment analysis on twitter data is very useful to understand and identify the mental health issues. In this research, we proposed a unified deep neuro-fuzzy approach for Covid-19 twitter sentiment classification. Fuzzy logic has been a very powerful tool for twitter data analysis where approximate semantic and syntactic analysis is more relevant because correcting spelling and grammar in tweets are merely obnoxious. We conducted the experiment on three challenging COVID-19 twitter sentiment datasets. Experimental results demonstrate that fuzzy Sugeno integral based ensembled classifiers succeed over individual base classifiers.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/jifs-219247","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2021,12,21]],"date-time":"2021-12-21T12:40:12Z","timestamp":1640090412000},"page":"4587-4597","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1177\/sage-journals-update-policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":4,"title":["A unified deep neuro-fuzzy approach for COVID-19 twitter sentiment classification"],"prefix":"10.1177","volume":"42","author":[{"given":"Aman","family":"Bahuguna","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Chandigarh University, Punjab, India"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Deepak","family":"Yadav","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Chandigarh University, Punjab, India"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Apurbalal","family":"Senapati","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar, Assam, India"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Baidya Nath","family":"Saha","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Concordia University of Edmonton, Alberta, T5B 4E4, Canada"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"179","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2021,12,17]]},"reference":[{"key":"e_1_3_1_2_2","unstructured":"https:\/\/www.kaggle.com\/arunavakrchakraborty\/covid19-twitter-dataset. last accessed: 31 July (2021)."},{"key":"e_1_3_1_3_2","unstructured":"https:\/\/www.kaggle.com\/datasciencetool\/covid19-vaccinetweets-with-sentiment-annotation. last accessed: 31 July (2021)."},{"key":"e_1_3_1_4_2","unstructured":"https:\/\/www.kaggle.com\/imranzaman5202\/covid19-sentiment-analysis. last accessed: 31 July (2021)."},{"key":"e_1_3_1_5_2","unstructured":"AbbaszadehS. and H\u00fcllermeierE.
