Neglecting to safeguard data confidentially and integrity and mitigate risks associated with unauthorized access will lead to failures in materializing benefit from digital health. This study aims to present a bibliometric analysis of health data privacy and provide a platform for future directions. We conducted a literature search between 2010 and 2020 in the Web of Science (WoS) database, resulted in 1,752 records. As part of the bibliometric analysis, concept mapping of health data privacy researches was depicted by network visualization and overlay visualization. These two visualizations represent five research fronts and emerging topics (e.g., digital health, blockchain, the internet of things (IoT)). Finally, we chart directions for future research on health data privacy, highlighting emerging topics, and boundary-breaking alternatives (e.g., GDPR, contact tracing apps in the context of pandemics).<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/shti200716","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2020,11,23]],"date-time":"2020-11-23T23:41:10Z","timestamp":1606174870000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":3,"title":["Health Data Privacy: Research Fronts, Hot Topics and Future Directions"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"given":"Javad","family":"Pool","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia"}]},{"given":"Farhad","family":"Fatehi","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Monash University, Melbourne, Australia"},{"name":"Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran"}]},{"given":"Farkhondeh","family":"Hassandoust","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Auckland University of Technology, Auckland, New Zealand"}]},{"given":"Saeed","family":"Akhlaghpour","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia"}]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Studies in Health Technology and Informatics","Integrated Citizen Centered Digital Health and Social Care"],"original-title":[],"link":[{"URL":"http:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/pdf\/doi\/10.3233\/SHTI200716","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2020,11,25]],"date-time":"2020-11-25T02:51:40Z","timestamp":1606272700000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"http:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/doi\/10.3233\/SHTI200716"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2020,11,23]]},"ISBN":["9781643681443","9781643681450"],"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/shti200716","relation":{},"ISSN":["0926-9630","1879-8365"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0926-9630","type":"print"},{"value":"1879-8365","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2020,11,23]]}}}
