Global efforts were initiated to reach a successful treatment for this emerging disease. These efforts have focused on developing vaccinations and\/or finding therapeutic agents that can be used to combat the virus or reduce its accompanying symptoms. Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries have initiated efforts on many clinical trials to address the efficacy and the safety of several therapeutic agents used for COVID-19 treatment.
