We conducted a series of expert panels to collect quantitative and qualitative data using surveys and in-depth interviews. Using mixed methods to ensure unbiased results, the panelists first independently scored them (1 message\/5 panelist) on a scale of 1 to 4 (1: lowest, 4: highest), followed by in-depth interviews and group discussions. Survey results showed that the average score was 3.47, indicating good to excellent (SD 0.35, ranges from 1.8 to 4). Quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews showed different results in emotional support messages.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/shti220728","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2022,6,30]],"date-time":"2022-06-30T07:33:45Z","timestamp":1656574425000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":1,"title":["Applying Participatory Design Mixed-Methods Approaches to Refine Twitter-Based Social Support Interventions for African Americans and Hispanic Family Caregivers of Persons with Dementia"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"given":"Sunmoo","family":"Yoon","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"General Medicine, Department of Medicine, Columbia University, USA"},{"name":"Data Science Institute, Columbia University, USA"}]},{"given":"Peter","family":"Broadwell","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Center for Interdisciplinary Digital Research, Stanford University, USA"}]},{"given":"Carmela","family":"Alcantara","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Social Work, Columbia University, USA"}]},{"given":"Nicole","family":"Davis","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Nursing, Clemson University, USA"}]},{"given":"Frederick F.","family":"Sun","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine, Columbia University, USA"}]},{"given":"Maria D.","family":"de Planell Saguer","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"General Medicine, Department of Medicine, Columbia University, USA"}]},{"given":"Joo Young","family":"Nho","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"General Medicine, Department of Medicine, Columbia University, USA"}]},{"given":"Mary","family":"Mittelman","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Psychiatry, NYU Grossman School of Medicine, USA"}]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Studies in Health Technology and Informatics","Advances in Informatics, Management and Technology in Healthcare"],"original-title":[],"link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/pdf\/doi\/10.3233\/SHTI220728","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2022,6,30]],"date-time":"2022-06-30T07:33:45Z","timestamp":1656574425000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/doi\/10.3233\/SHTI220728"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2022,6,29]]},"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/shti220728","relation":{},"ISSN":["0926-9630","1879-8365"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0926-9630","type":"print"},{"value":"1879-8365","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2022,6,29]]}}}
