For designing and implementing such advanced ecosystems, an understanding and correct representation of structure, function and relations of their components is inevitable. To guarantee consistent and conformant processes and outcomes, the specifications and principles must be internationally standardized. Summarizing the first author\u2019s Keynotes over the last 15 years of pHealth conferences, the paper discusses concepts, standards and principles of 5P medicine ecosystems including their design and implementation. Furthermore, a guidance to find and to deploy corresponding international standards in practical projects is provided.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/shti220958","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2022,11,3]],"date-time":"2022-11-03T08:37:34Z","timestamp":1667464654000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Standards and Principles to Enable Interoperability and Integration of 5P Medicine Ecosystems"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"given":"Bernd","family":"Blobel","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Medical Faculty, University of Regensburg, Germany"},{"name":"eHealth Competence Center Bavaria, Deggendorf Institute of Technology, Germany"},{"name":"First Medical Faculty, Charles University Prague, Czech Republic"}]},{"given":"Pekka","family":"Ruotsalainen","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Sciences (ITC), Tampere University, Finland"}]},{"given":"Mauro","family":"Giacomini","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Informatics, Bioengineering, Robotics and System Engineering (DIBRIS), University of Genoa, Italy"}]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Studies in Health Technology and Informatics","pHealth 2022"],"original-title":[],"link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/pdf\/doi\/10.3233\/SHTI220958","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2022,11,3]],"date-time":"2022-11-03T08:37:35Z","timestamp":1667464655000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/doi\/10.3233\/SHTI220958"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2022,11,3]]},"ISBN":["9781643683485","9781643683492"],"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/shti220958","relation":{},"ISSN":["0926-9630","1879-8365"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0926-9630","type":"print"},{"value":"1879-8365","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2022,11,3]]}}}
