Objectives: This research investigates the utilisation of TermX to tackle the challenges of interoperability in radiology procedures, with a specific emphasis on angiography and X-ray modalities. Results: The study produced a revised RadLex data model and mapping guide, designed to classify radiology services using TermX. In total, 380 concepts were required to comprehensively describe all 622 procedures examined. Conclusions: Our study demonstrates the effectiveness of TermX in simplifying the process of mapping between code systems, thus enabling more efficient analysis, and reporting of data.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/shti240342","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2024,8,23]],"date-time":"2024-08-23T08:31:36Z","timestamp":1724401896000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Standardizing X-Ray and Angiography Procedure Coding in Estonia: Validating TermX Through the Implementation of SNOMED CT"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0009-0000-8609-8923","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Merit","family":"Marquis","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Health Technologies, TalTech, Tallinn, Estonia"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Igor","family":"Bossenko","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Software Science, TalTech, Tallinn, Estonia"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Peeter","family":"Ross","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Health Technologies, TalTech, Tallinn, Estonia"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Studies in Health Technology and Informatics","Digital Health and Informatics Innovations for Sustainable Health Care Systems"],"original-title":[],"link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/pdf\/doi\/10.3233\/SHTI240342","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2024,8,23]],"date-time":"2024-08-23T08:31:36Z","timestamp":1724401896000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/ebooks.iospress.nl\/doi\/10.3233\/SHTI240342"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2024,8,22]]},"ISBN":["9781643685335"],"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/shti240342","relation":{},"ISSN":["0926-9630","1879-8365"],"issn-type":[{"type":"print","value":"0926-9630"},{"type":"electronic","value":"1879-8365"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2024,8,22]]}}}
