This study aimed to investigate the attitudes of physicians towards AI in medical care using focus groups. Most participants seemed to be open to the use of AI in medicine if transparency in AI systems is ensured, regulatory barriers are addressed and personal contact to the patient is maintained. This qualitative study allows insights into how German physicians perceive the use of AI in medical care. Gaining input from physicians is important when designing future applications of AI for the practical use in medical care.
[[2024,8,23
["Physicians’ Attitudes Towards Artificial Intelligence: Results of the PEAK Project
Institute for Medical Epidemiology, Biometrics and Informatics, Interdisciplinary Center for Health Sciences, Medical Faculty of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Halle (Saale), Germany
Institute of General Practice & Family Medicine, Interdisciplinary Center of Health Sciences, Medical Faculty of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Halle (Saale), Germany
Institute for History and Ethics of Medicine, Interdisciplinary Center for Health Sciences, Medical Faculty of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Halle (Saale), Germany
Department of Medical Informatics, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Erlangen, Germany
Department of Medical Informatics, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Erlangen, Germany
Junior Research Group (Bio-)medical Data Science, Faculty of Medicine, Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Halle (Saale), Germany
Institute for History and Ethics of Medicine, Interdisciplinary Center for Health Sciences, Medical Faculty of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Halle (Saale), Germany
Institute of General Practice & Family Medicine, Interdisciplinary Center of Health Sciences, Medical Faculty of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Halle (Saale), Germany
Institute for Medical Epidemiology, Biometrics and Informatics, Interdisciplinary Center for Health Sciences, Medical Faculty of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Halle (Saale), Germany
7437
Studies in Health Technology and Informatics","Digital Health and Informatics Innovations for Sustainable Health Care Systems
[[2024,8,23
[[2024,8,22
9781643685335
["0926-9630","1879-8365
[[2024,8,22]]}}}
