This paper presents a qualitative case study evaluating safe medication use concerning HIS through observation, interviews and document analysis at a Japanese hospital. Effective strategies for managing safe medication include strong management and leadership, a safety culture, effective communication, an incident reporting system and a closed feedback loop. Our proposed Human, Organisation, Process and Technology-fit framework facilitated a comprehensive evaluation of HIS and safe medication.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/shti250367","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,5,16]],"date-time":"2025-05-16T08:54:54Z","timestamp":1747385694000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Safe Medication: An Integrated Approach"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-4286-2939","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Maryati Mohd.","family":"Yusof","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Faculty of Info.
