A retrospective cohort analysis of patients aged 16 and older admitted to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth (2010\u20132019), was conducted. HFRS was calculated for those with prior hospitalizations within two years. Logistic regression models (crude and adjusted) were developed for nine mortality prediction periods, comparing HFRS and the Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) using AUROC. The proportion of patients at intermediate or high frailty risk increased with longer prediction periods. HFRS models (AUROC: 0.782\u20130.829) outperformed CCI (AUROC: 0.690\u20130.708), with the combination of both yielding the highest predictive accuracy.
