In the future, automatic alerting systems will detect adverse events autonomously and need to communicate in the early rescue chain. To support semantic operability within this machine-to-machine communication, we suggest a mono-hierarchical multi-axial terminology for adverse events of any kind. The axes are (i) event and (ii) location. For traffic accidents and indoor locations, we differ (iii) type of transport and (iv) type of room, respectively. As the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) already covers medical issues, we plan to integrate this terminology into ICD-11.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/shti251111","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,8,7]],"date-time":"2025-08-07T11:41:16Z","timestamp":1754566876000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Terminology for Automatic Alerts in the Early Rescue Chain"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"given":"Masresha Derese","family":"Tegegne","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Peter L.
