Al\u00e9m disso, gra\u00e7as ao mecanismo fisiopatol\u00f3gico do v\u00edrus, percebe-se, de forma geral, sintomas inespec\u00edficos, evolu\u00e7\u00e3o at\u00edpica, principalmente em idosos e imunodeprimidos, e uma progress\u00e3o mais r\u00e1pida e letal. De igual modo, com o avan\u00e7o no conhecimento da hist\u00f3ria natural da infec\u00e7\u00e3o pelo v\u00edrus, foram constatados sintomas persistentes e\/ou sequelas que causam disfun\u00e7\u00f5es org\u00e2nicas e impactam negativamente na qualidade de vida dos pacientes. Diante disso, o objetivo do artigo foi apresentar uma revis\u00e3o integrativa sobre as principais sequelas da COVID-19 nos anos de 2021 e 2022. Para tanto, foram pesquisados artigos completos nas bases de dados de pesquisa Scientific Electronic Library Online, Biblioteca Virtual em Sa\u00fade e PubMed, nas l\u00ednguas portugu\u00eas e ingl\u00eas, e empregada a metodologia PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses), sendo selecionados 14 artigos. Entre os resultados destacam-se: a fisiopatog\u00eanese da COVID-19 persistente \u00e9 baseada na teoria de fen\u00f4menos imunes secund\u00e1rios \u00e0 infec\u00e7\u00e3o, resposta imunol\u00f3gica anormal e presen\u00e7a de v\u00edrus em locais imunologicamente privilegiados; fadiga, dispneia, comprometimento cognitivo subjetivo, sequelas neurol\u00f3gicas, doen\u00e7as inflamat\u00f3rias do sistema nervoso central e disfun\u00e7\u00e3o olfativa p\u00f3s viral s\u00e3o complica\u00e7\u00f5es prevalentes;\u00a0 evid\u00eancias de\u00a0 rela\u00e7\u00e3o causal entre a COVID-19 e a tireoidite subaguda foram apresentadas; foi demonstrado um maior n\u00famero de complica\u00e7\u00f5es e interna\u00e7\u00f5es em pacientes com defici\u00eancia de vitamina D; bem como a presen\u00e7a de sintomas neuropsiqui\u00e1tricos na popula\u00e7\u00e3o de profissionais de sa\u00fade.
