The competitive advantages of each country provide opportunities to accumulate capital and develop both economically and socially. Each country maintains external economic relations with others through the export and import of goods and services. This article investigates the relationship between exports and imports by calculating the Coverage Ratio of Imports by Exports, both overall and separately for goods and services. The analysis is based on data from Eurozone countries over the past 26 years. The study revealed that the leaders in goods exports are Ireland, Denmark, and Germany, which are laggards in service exports. Meanwhile, the highest Coverage Ratio of Imports by Exports by service are found in Croatia and Portugal. Portugal, which was a laggard in the import coverage ratio by goods exports, has become a leader in the same ratio by service exports. This situation has led to Portugal occupying a middle position in terms of the overall Coverage Ratio of Imports by Exports. This fact confirms Portugal’s potential for further economic development and capital accumulation by developing the appropriate infrastructure in the service sector and expanding the export of goods that are in demand among the country’s tourists.
[[2025,1,22
["THE COVERAGE RATIO OF IMPORTS BY EXPORTS IN EUROZONE COUNTRIES
[[2024,6,28
Європейський науковий журнал Економічних та Фінансових інновацій
[[2025,1,22
[[2024,6,28
[[2024,6,28
["2617-8648
[[2024,6,28]]}}}
