Commun. Netw."],"abstract":"<jats:p>Natural disasters have become more frequent and severe, posing threats to critical infrastructure such as power systems. The Internet of Energy (IoE) offers a solution to optimize energy systems by means of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). In this paper, we propose the design of a resilient IoE, envisioned to make the global IoE system architecture intrinsically resistant to disasters, and investigate the requirements and challenges of IoE communication technologies considering disaster scenarios. In particular, we explore the recent advances of wireless communication technologies, and discuss their applicability and issues towards their integration for resilient IoE.
