The Hirota bilinear equation is developed via the Cole-Hopf transform. Then, the symbolic computation, together with the ansatz function schemes, are utilized to seek exact solutions. Some new solutions, such as the multi-wave complexiton solution (MWCS), multi-wave solution (MWS) and periodic lump solution (PLS), are successfully constructed. Additionally, different types of travelling wave solutions (TWS), including the dark, bright-dark and singular periodic wave solutions, are disclosed by employing the sub-equation method. Finally, the physical characteristics and interaction behaviors of the extracted solutions are depicted graphically by assigning appropriate parameters. The obtained outcomes in this paper are more general and newer. Additionally, they reveal that the used methods are concise, direct, and can be employed to study other partial differential equations (PDEs) in physics.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/axioms12060592","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2023,6,16]],"date-time":"2023-06-16T02:54:33Z","timestamp":1686884073000},"page":"592","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":7,"title":["Study on the Nonlinear Dynamics of the (3+1)-Dimensional Jimbo-Miwa Equation in Plasma Physics"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"12","author":[{"given":"Peng","family":"Xu","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Electronics and Information, Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University, Guangzhou 510665, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Bing-Qi","family":"Zhang","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Electronics and Information, Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University, Guangzhou 510665, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Huan","family":"Huang","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Electronics and Information, Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University, Guangzhou 510665, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-3905-0844","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Kang-Jia","family":"Wang","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Physics and Electronic Information Engineering, Henan Polytechnic University, Jiaozuo 454003, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2023,6,15]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","unstructured":"Sohail, M., Nazir, U., Bazighifan, O., El-Nabulsi, R.A., Selim, M.M., Alrabaiah, H., and Thounthong, P.
