Cordero et al. assumed the involved operator to be differentiable at least five times to extend a two-step p-order method to order p+3. We obtained the convergence order of Cordero et al.\u2019s method by assuming only up to the third-order derivative of the operator. Our analysis is in a more general commutative Banach algebra setting and provides a radius of the convergence ball. Finally, we validate our theoretical findings with several numerical examples. Also, the concept of basin of attraction is discussed with examples.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/axioms13090601","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2024,9,4]],"date-time":"2024-09-04T08:46:22Z","timestamp":1725439582000},"page":"601","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":7,"title":["On Extending the Applicability of Iterative Methods for Solving Systems of Nonlinear Equations"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"13","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0009-0002-6722-0553","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Indra","family":"Bate","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Mangalore 575025, India"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0009-0004-9997-7109","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Muniyasamy","family":"Murugan","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Mangalore 575025, India"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-3530-5539","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Santhosh","family":"George","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Mangalore 575025, India"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0009-0001-1562-2756","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Kedarnath","family":"Senapati","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Mangalore 575025, India"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-9189-9298","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Ioannis K.","family":"Argyros","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematical Sciences, Cameron University, Lawton, OK 73505, USA"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-0035-1022","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Samundra","family":"Regmi","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematics, University of Houston, Houston, TX 77004, USA"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2024,9,4]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"35","DOI":"10.1109\/TAC.1966.1098256","article-title":"Optimal control of a certain type of linear distributed-parameter systems","volume":"11","author":"Sakawa","year":"1966","journal-title":"IEEE Trans.
