Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), as a new cryptographic technology that can resist attacks from quantum computers, has received widespread attention in recent years. This paper first analyzes the threat of quantum computing to existing cryptographic systems, then introduces in detail the main technical routes of PQC and its standardization process. Then, a testing and evaluation system for PQC is proposed and relevant tests are carried out. Finally, suggestions for future development are put forward.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/e27020212","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,18]],"date-time":"2025-02-18T03:47:06Z","timestamp":1739850426000},"page":"212","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":8,"title":["Research on Development Progress and Test Evaluation of Post-Quantum Cryptography"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"27","author":[{"given":"Meng","family":"Zhang","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"China Academy of Information and Communication Technology (CAICT), Beijing 100191, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Jing","family":"Wang","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"China Academy of Information and Communication Technology (CAICT), Beijing 100191, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Junsen","family":"Lai","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"China Academy of Information and Communication Technology (CAICT), Beijing 100191, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Mingfu","family":"Dong","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"KOAL Software Co., Ltd., Shanghai 200072, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Zhenzhong","family":"Zhu","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"KOAL Software Co., Ltd., Shanghai 200072, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Ryan","family":"Ma","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"VIAVI Solutions Inc., Beijing 100102, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Jun","family":"Yang","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"VIAVI Solutions Inc., Beijing 100102, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,18]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","unstructured":"Shor, P.W.
