This ethnographic study explores the integration of generative AI in healthcare and nursing education, detailing the development of the SPARRO framework based on observations of student and faculty interactions with AI tools across five courses. The study identifies key challenges such as AI hallucination, mistrust of AI-generated summaries, and the difficulty in formulating effective prompts. The SPARRO framework addresses these challenges, offering a step-by-step guide for planning, prompt design, reviewing, and refining AI outputs. While the framework shows promise in improving AI integration, future research is needed to validate its applicability across other academic disciplines and assess its long-term impact on critical thinking and academic integrity. This study contributes to the growing body of research on AI in education, offering practical solutions for ethically and effectively integrating AI tools in academic settings.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/info15100634","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2024,10,21]],"date-time":"2024-10-21T07:28:35Z","timestamp":1729495715000},"page":"634","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":12,"title":["Promptology: Enhancing Human\u2013AI Interaction in Large Language Models"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"15","author":[{"given":"Phillip","family":"Olla","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"College of Health Professionals, University of Detroit Mercy, Detroit, MI 48221, USA"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Lauren","family":"Elliott","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Schulich School of Medicine, Western University, London, ON N6A 3K7, Canada"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Mustafa","family":"Abumeeiz","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Schulich School of Medicine, Western University, London, ON N6A 3K7, Canada"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-5605-4054","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Karen","family":"Mihelich","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"College of Health Professionals, University of Detroit Mercy, Detroit, MI 48221, USA"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Joshua","family":"Olson","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"College of Health Professionals, University of Detroit Mercy, Detroit, MI 48221, USA"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2024,10,14]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"198","DOI":"10.3390\/ime2030019","article-title":"Prompt Engineering in Medical Education","volume":"2","author":"Heston","year":"2023","journal-title":"Int.
