According to the United Nation\u2019s report, COVID-19 has influenced more than 1.6 billion learners from all over the world (190 countries or more). To tackle this problem, universities and colleges have implemented various technologically based platforms to replace the physical classrooms during the spread of Coronavirus. The effectiveness of these technologies and their educational impact on the educational sector has been the concern of researchers during the spread of the pandemic. Consequently, the current study is an attempt to explore the effect of Google Meet acceptance among Arab students during the pandemic in Oman, UAE, and Jordan. The perceived fear factor is integrated into a hybrid model that combines crucial factors in TAM (Technology acceptance Model) and VAM (Value-based Adoption Model). The integration embraces perceived fear factor with other important factors in TAM perceived ease of use (PEOU) and perceived usefulness (PU) on the one hand and technically influential factor of VAM, which are perceived technicality (PTE) and perceived enjoyment (PE) on the other hand. The data, collected from 475 participants (49% males and 51% females students), were analyzed using the partial least squares-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). The results have shown that TAM hypotheses of usefulness and easy to use have been supported. Similarly, the results have supported the hypotheses related to VAM factors of being technically useful and enjoying, which helps in reducing the atmosphere of fear that is created due to the spread of Coronavirus.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/informatics8020024","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2021,3,30]],"date-time":"2021-03-30T03:29:45Z","timestamp":1617074985000},"page":"24","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":50,"title":["Acceptance of Google Meet during the Spread of Coronavirus by Arab University Students"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"8","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-4408-7710","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Rana Saeed","family":"Al-Maroof","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"English Language & Linguistics Department, Al Buraimi University College, Al Buraimi 512, Oman"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-7336-381X","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Muhammad Turki","family":"Alshurideh","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Management, University of Sharjah, Sharjah 27272, United Arab Emirates"},{"name":"Department of Marketing, School of Business, The University of Jordan, Amman 11942, Jordan"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-6073-3981","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Said A.","family":"Salloum","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Machine Learning and NLP Research Group, University of Sharjah, Sharjah 27272, United Arab Emirates"},{"name":"School of Science, Engineering, and Environment, University of Salford, Manchester M5 4WT, UK"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-7083-5375","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Ahmad Qasim Mohammad","family":"AlHamad","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Information Systems Department, University of Sharjah, Sharjah 27272, United Arab Emirates"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-4065-4191","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Tarek","family":"Gaber","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Science, Engineering, and Environment, University of Salford, Manchester M5 4WT, UK"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2021,3,30]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"120261","DOI":"10.1016\/j.techfore.2020.120261","article-title":"On the efficiency of foreign exchange markets in times of the COVID-19 pandemic","volume":"161","author":"Aslam","year":"2020","journal-title":"Technol.
