In this article, we try to provide a thorough and complete systematic review on the sensor network field resulting from representative subset of more than 3000 articles which include actual sensor network deployments. After a thorough analysis of these data, we provide a definitive overview of the trends in sensor network deployment described in published research articles.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/jsan11040068","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2022,10,24]],"date-time":"2022-10-24T04:40:36Z","timestamp":1666586436000},"page":"68","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":2,"title":["The Definitive Guide to Actual Sensor Network Deployments in Research Studies from 2013\u20132017: A Systematic Review"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"11","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-8005-2422","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Janis","family":"Judvaitis","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute of Electronics and Computer Science, 14 Dzerbenes St., LV-1006 Riga, Latvia"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-0450-6546","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Valters","family":"Abolins","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute of Electronics and Computer Science, 14 Dzerbenes St., LV-1006 Riga, Latvia"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-2337-1205","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Artis","family":"Mednis","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute of Electronics and Computer Science, 14 Dzerbenes St., LV-1006 Riga, Latvia"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-0134-1021","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Rihards","family":"Balass","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute of Electronics and Computer Science, 14 Dzerbenes St., LV-1006 Riga, Latvia"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-2445-2891","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Krisjanis","family":"Nesenbergs","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute of Electronics and Computer Science, 14 Dzerbenes St., LV-1006 Riga, Latvia"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2022,10,21]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","first-page":"575","article-title":"Military Uses of Ocean Space and the Developing International Law of the Sea: An Analysis in the Context of Peactime ASW","volume":"16","author":"Zedalis","year":"1978","journal-title":"San Diego L.
