The analysis shows that G7 countries maintain steady growth driven by established research infrastructures, while BRICS nations, particularly China, display accelerated growth due to substantial investments in R&D. The forecasts indicate that China could reach over 2,000,000 indexed scientific publications annually by 2030, potentially reshaping the global research landscape. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers and research institutions, highlighting the shifting dynamics of global scientific leadership and emphasizing the importance of sustained investment in research to remain competitive.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/publications13010006","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,7]],"date-time":"2025-02-07T10:07:56Z","timestamp":1738922876000},"page":"6","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":3,"title":["Forecasting the Scientific Production Volumes of G7 and BRICS Countries in a Comparative Analysis"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"13","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-1926-8317","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Tindaro","family":"Cicero","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Engineering and Science, Universitas Mercatorum, 00186 Rome, Italy"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,7]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","first-page":"283","article-title":"Implementation strategies of higher education part of national education policy 2020 of India towards achieving its objectives","volume":"5","author":"Aithal","year":"2020","journal-title":"International Journal of Management, Technology, and Social Sciences (IJMTS)"},{"key":"ref_2","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"485","DOI":"10.1080\/13602381.2024.2320539","article-title":"The transformation of science, technology and innovation (STI) policy in Japan","volume":"30","author":"Arimoto","year":"2024","journal-title":"Asia Pacific Business Review"},{"key":"ref_3","unstructured":"Atkinson, R., and Zhang, L.
