The calculations are computed in the frequency domain and then transformed back into the space domain using the inverse Fourier transform. The filter has been tested on magnetic data collected at a test site with UXO bodies of variable orientation. It was also validated on magnetic data measured at a former army artillery range in Slovakia. The results show that the IAS filter not only revealed better imaging of the UXO bodies compared to the other commonly used filters but also produced a high-resolution image with much less influence of noise.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/rs13214345","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2021,10,28]],"date-time":"2021-10-28T23:52:35Z","timestamp":1635465155000},"page":"4345","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":17,"title":["IAS: A New Novel Phase-Based Filter for Detection of Unexploded Ordnances"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"13","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-6228-246X","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Ismael M.","family":"Ibraheem","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute of Geophysics and Meteorology, University of Cologne, Pohligstrasse 3, 50969 Cologne, Germany"}]},{"given":"Hasan","family":"Aladad","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Cara Syria Programme, London SE1 6LN, UK"}]},{"given":"Mohamad Faek","family":"Alnaser","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Cara Syria Programme, London SE1 6LN, UK"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-4868-8601","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Randell","family":"Stephenson","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Geosciences, King\u2019s College, University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen AB24 3UE, UK"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2021,10,28]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","unstructured":"SNHR (2021, May 25).
