For this purpose, effective reflection surfaces of four types of passive radar reflectors were identified in a special laboratory anechoic chamber. A fluctuation model for small maritime target detection using the Weibull probability distribution was formulated. Analytical and experimental verification of the quality of the developed model was carried out by a comparative assessment of the detection probability of small maritime targets with the use of four types of reflectors for five sea wave states.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/rs14246342","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2022,12,15]],"date-time":"2022-12-15T03:01:51Z","timestamp":1671073311000},"page":"6342","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":1,"title":["Quality Analysis of Small Maritime Target Detection by Means of Passive Radar Reflectors in Different Sea States"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"14","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-9281-376X","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"J\u00f3zef","family":"Lisowski","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Faculty of Marine Electrical Engineering, Gdynia Maritime University, 81-225 Gdynia, Poland"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Andrzej","family":"Szklarski","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Sailing and Water Sports Center, Gdynia Maritime University, 81-345 Gdynia, Poland"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2022,12,14]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","unstructured":"Bole, A., Wall, A., and Norris, A.
