High-precision and high-resolution topography is the basis for the quantitative study of active geomorphological and tectonic processes. Recently, with the rapid development of computer visual science and the growing application of light detection and ranging (LiDAR), small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and structure from motion (SfM) photogrammetry have shown great potential in providing high-resolution and high-precision topographic information. In this Special Issue, we focus on the tectonic activity of active faults and the geomorphic processes in various global tectonic regimes that are related to remote sensing measurements. This Special Issue covers major earthquake hazards and seismogenic structures, new methods in seismological studies using high-resolution data sets, and the tectonic and geomorphic application of high-resolution data sets worldwide and, in particular, in the Eastern Tibetan Plateau and Tian Shan. These contributions will provide new insights into the remote sensing perspectives of geomorphological and tectonic processes.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/rs15092327","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2023,4,28]],"date-time":"2023-04-28T04:36:15Z","timestamp":1682656575000},"page":"2327","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":5,"title":["Remote Sensing Perspectives on Geomorphology and Tectonic Processes"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"15","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-6391-9503","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Zhikun","family":"Ren","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"State Key Laboratory of Earthquake Dynamics, Institute of Geology, China Earthquake Administration, Beijing 100029, China"}]},{"given":"Peizhen","family":"Zhang","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Earth Science and Geological Engineering, Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangzhou 510275, China"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-8340-6994","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Takashi","family":"Oguchi","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Center for Spatial Information Science, University of Tokyo, Tokyo 113-0033, Japan"}]},{"given":"Zhongtai","family":"He","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"National Institute of Natural Hazards, Ministry of Emergency Management of China, Beijing 100085, China"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2023,4,28]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"e2021TC006992","DOI":"10.1029\/2021TC006992","article-title":"Slip rates along the laohushan fault and spatial variation in slip rate along the Haiyuan fault zone","volume":"41","author":"Liu","year":"2022","journal-title":"Tectonics"},{"key":"ref_2","first-page":"3","article-title":"Clustering of offsets on the Haiyuan fault and their relationship to paleoearthquakes","volume":"128","author":"Ren","year":"2016","journal-title":"GSA Bull."},{"key":"ref_3","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"2748","DOI":"10.1029\/2017TC004848","article-title":"The role of the 2008 Mw 7.9 Wenchuan earthquake in topographic evolution: Seismically induced landslides and the associated isostatic response","volume":"37","author":"Ren","year":"2018","journal-title":"Tectonics"},{"key":"ref_4","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"264","DOI":"10.1016\/j.jsg.2018.09.015","article-title":"Active tectonics in 4D high-resolution","volume":"117","author":"Ren","year":"2018","journal-title":"J.
