Using this technique, we could successfully map ultrafast time-frequency 2D transient absorption signals of \u03b2-carotene in solid films with wide temporal and spectral ranges having very short accumulation time of 20 ms per unit frame. The results obtained indicate the high potential of this technique as a powerful and unique spectroscopic tool to observe ultrafast excited-state dynamics of organic and biological materials in solid-state, which undergo rapid photodegradation.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/s100504253","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2010,4,28]],"date-time":"2010-04-28T11:12:11Z","timestamp":1272453131000},"page":"4253-4269","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":5,"title":["Real-Time Time-Frequency Two-Dimensional Imaging of Ultrafast Transient Signals in Solid-State Organic Materials"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"10","author":[{"given":"Jun","family":"Takeda","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Physics, Graduate School of Engineering, Yokohama National University, 79-5 Tokiwadai, Hodogaya, Yokohama 240-8501, Japan"}]},{"given":"Akihiro","family":"Ishida","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Physics, Graduate School of Engineering, Yokohama National University, 79-5 Tokiwadai, Hodogaya, Yokohama 240-8501, Japan"}]},{"given":"Yoshinori","family":"Makishima","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Physics, Graduate School of Engineering, Yokohama National University, 79-5 Tokiwadai, Hodogaya, Yokohama 240-8501, Japan"}]},{"given":"Ikufumi","family":"Katayama","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Interdisciplinary Research Center, Yokohama National University, 79-7 Tokiwadai, Hodogaya, Yokohama 240-8501, Japan"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2010,4,28]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"505","DOI":"10.1364\/OL.25.000505","article-title":"Dual-echelon single-shot femtosecond spectroscopy","volume":"25","author":"Wakeham","year":"2000","journal-title":"Opt.
