In this paper, a method for modeling the galvanic coupling intra-body communication via handshake channel is proposed, while the corresponding parameters are discussed. Meanwhile, the mathematical model of this kind of IBC is developed. Finally, the validity of the developed model has been verified by measurements. Moreover, its characteristics are discussed and compared with that of the IBC via single body channel. Our results indicate that the proposed method will lay a foundation for the theoretical analysis and application of the IBC via handshake channel.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/s17040863","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2017,4,18]],"date-time":"2017-04-18T11:22:04Z","timestamp":1492514524000},"page":"863","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":11,"title":["The Modeling and Simulation of the Galvanic Coupling Intra-Body Communication via Handshake Channel"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"17","author":[{"given":"Maoyuan","family":"Li","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Optoelectronics, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Key Laboratory for Precision Optoelectronic Measurement Instrument and Technology, Beijing 100081, China"}]},{"given":"Yong","family":"Song","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Optoelectronics, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Key Laboratory for Precision Optoelectronic Measurement Instrument and Technology, Beijing 100081, China"}]},{"given":"Wansong","family":"Li","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Optoelectronics, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Key Laboratory for Precision Optoelectronic Measurement Instrument and Technology, Beijing 100081, China"}]},{"given":"Guangfa","family":"Wang","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Optoelectronics, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Key Laboratory for Precision Optoelectronic Measurement Instrument and Technology, Beijing 100081, China"}]},{"given":"Tianpeng","family":"Bu","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Optoelectronics, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Key Laboratory for Precision Optoelectronic Measurement Instrument and Technology, Beijing 100081, China"}]},{"given":"Yufei","family":"Zhao","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Optoelectronics, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Key Laboratory for Precision Optoelectronic Measurement Instrument and Technology, Beijing 100081, China"}]},{"given":"Qun","family":"Hao","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Optoelectronics, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Key Laboratory for Precision Optoelectronic Measurement Instrument and Technology, Beijing 100081, China"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2017,4,14]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","unstructured":"Zimmerman, T.G.
